I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season! I'm finally getting caught up on the blog so I'm posting all the recipes that I've posted on the 'gram.
When I was younger one of my all time favorite holiday treats was William's and Sonoma Peppermint Bark. But since I avoid dairy and tons of processed sugar I've turned to making my own. My family absolutely loves this recipe and myself included. Let me know if you make this recipe by tagging me in your pictures!

peppermint bark (v + gf)
1 cup @enjoylifefoods dark chocolate chips (melted in microwave)
1 bar white @ichoc_vegan_chocolate chocolate (melted in microwave)
2-3 crushes candy canes
1/4-1/2 tsp peppermint essence
1. Take the melted dark chocolate and mix in about 3/4 of the peppermint essence.
2. Add the remaining peppermint essence to the melted white chocolate. I left the measurements kind of vague because some prefer very powerful peppermint taste and I prefer a more milder taste, but the best way (and most delicious way) is just to taste the chocolate as you add the peppermint!
3. Then pour dark chocolate into pan lined with parchment paper.
4. Pour the white chocolate on top and swirl with a toothpick.
5. Sprinkle on crushed candy canes and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes or until solid.
6. Crack into shards and enjoy
